The annual Toy Drive program started within the house of Dr. Elizabeth King, LCSW, founder and chief inspiration officer of SSL, and her late husband, John Weaver, who was a well-respected businessman and former president of the Central Seaside Alliance in Fort Lauderdale. This system has collected and distributed over 70,000 toys to deserving kids in the neighborhood. Though John misplaced his battle with most cancers in 2018, Dr. King has continued her dedication to holding her husband’s legacy alive by the Toy Drive.
